Breaking myths and creating interest in crypto assets
In May 2020, Giottus Crypto Exchange revamped their operations, after The Supreme Court of India revoked a decision which prohibited banks from dealing with cryptocurrency exchanges. While this announcement came as a major boost, there was a lot that still needed to be done to change public perceptions and create consumer confidence.
Giottus Crypto Exchange realized that it was critical to address the apprehension that investors had by driving an educative program focused on highlighting the benefits of trading in cryptocurrencies and busting some myths associated with the legality of transactions.
A public relations only campaign was created with a three- pronged approach:
Education: Regular flow of accurate information pertaining to educating media and their readers on what cryptocurrency is and how it works.
Engagement: Meetings with senior level journalists were organized to regularly share perspectives on crypto technologies, safety and security and other industry trends.
Advocacy: Perspectives on emerging and possible policy frameworks for the regulators to regulate cryptocurrency in India.
